Tata Teleservices Ltd. (TTSL) became the first private cellular operator in India which signed an agreement to set a supplier of the device and its 3G telecommunications solutions. As a provider, TTSL has selected Nokia Siemens Networks, owned technology to support the launch of 3G in its network.
In WCDMA 3G, including HSPA + and, TTSL is expected to offer mobile broadband with better quality.
“There is huge demand for mobile internet access in India, and that is what can be provided by 3G,” said AG Rao, Chief Technology Officer and President, Business Enterprise, TTSL, in his testimony, August 28, 2010. “We want to move fast and be first in establishing the key technology suppliers and our 3G services,” he said.
Rao said, Nokia Siemens Networks has held previous TTSL 2G technology and enables it to provide new services with faster time than most competitors.
“We are committed to deploy networks quickly TTSL,” said Urs Pennanen, Head of the Indian Region, Nokia Siemens Networks, on the same occasion. “This deployment uses the latest mobile technologies in a network of Tata Teleservices, which is ready to meet future needs,” Pennanen claim.
In the contract, Nokia Siemens Networks will supply its Multiradio Flexi BTS compact, energy efficient and ready to LTE. In addition to enabling higher network capacity and mobile broadband services more quickly, BTS allows ‘active sharing’ between operators to improve efficiency.
NSN will seek a smooth deployment, better network performance and the introduction of new services without barriers. The company also will provide NetAct network management system to monitor, manage and optimize network 3G/HSPA + and provide other operational support systems.
